Former Fairview First Aid Auxiliary Volunteer Dies at 89

Arnette R. Arnseth was a longtime Middletown resident and worked for W.T. Grant and the Navesink House.

Arnette R. Arnseth, 89, of Tinton Falls, New Jersey passed away peacefully on March 1, 2014 at Kensington Court, Tinton Falls.  She was born Arnette Kruse on February 3, 1920 in Bogota, New Jersey.  In her early years Arnette worked for Lowe Paper Company and Boy Scouts of America.  In 1945 she married Ralph Arnseth.  Arnette and Ralph resided in Middletown for many years, where they raised their four children.  During those years she worked for W.T. Grant and the Navesink House and generously volunteered her time with the Fairview First Aid Auxiliary and served as a Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout den mother.  Arnette was also an active member of the Sons of Norway, and more recently was a volunteer for Viscon during the years she lived at Leisure Village West in Lakehurst.

Arnette was predeceased by her loving husband Ralph in 1990.  She is survived by her son Jeffrey Arnseth (wife Anita) of Keyport; daughter Jan Garrison (husband Robert) of Long Beach Island and Vero Beach, Florida; daughter Arnette Heagle (husband David) of Denver, Colorado; and daughter Laurel Arnseth of Pomona, California.  In addition, Arnette is survived by her four grandchildren, Lisa Arnseth and Tricia Arnseth Black (husband Kane) of Mesa, Arizona; Joshua Temple of Phoenix, Arizona; and Laura Temple of New York City.  She will be sadly missed, but her memory will stay alive in their hearts forever.

After cremation Arnette’s family will be honoring her life with a private memorial service at a later date, followed by internment alongside her husband at Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Homeside Hospice 67 Walnut Ave., Clark NJ 07066.
