Former Port Monmouth Resident Lucy Cafiero Dies at 92

Lucy Cafiero, 92, of Archbald, PA, died on February 15, 2014 at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton, PA. She was born and raised in Jersey City and lived in Port Monmouth from 1976 to 2005 before moving to Archbald. Lucy was a homemaker, spending her time with her family.

Surviving are her son, Louis and Linda Cafiero of Clark; daughter, Anna Menth of Archbald, PA; son, Dominic and Colleen Cafiero of Union Beach; 7 grandchildren: Jennifer (Peter) Betines, Joseph Cafiero, Joseph Menth, Monica Menth, Sean (Kendra) Menth, Tara (Joseph) Seigel, Danielle (Brian) Steele; and her great-grandchildren: Jessica, William, Austin, Aiden, Evan, Alec, Hailey, and Makenzie.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cafiero in 1979.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm 7 to 9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 8:15 am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Thursday at 9:15 am at St. Mary's Chapel, 26 Leonardville Rd., Middletown. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
