The following was submitted by the Pfleger Funeral Home:

James Curti, 45, of Middletown, died on Dec. 6, 2013.

He was born in Brooklyn on May 8, 1968 to Walter and Marguerite Curti. He moved to Middletown before the age of three and lived there until his sudden passing.

He coached soccer and basketball for over 20 years and his legacy will live on within the families of  hundreds of kids that he has touched the lives of. He was extremely passionate about coaching and unselfishly gave his time volunteering on and off the court. He was someone you could always count on without hesitation when something needed to get done.  His boys adored him and they were his pride and joy.

Jim had a smile that could light up a room and was a wonderful husband, father, brother, son, uncle and cousin—he will forever be remembered as "friend" or "coach" by many.
