Josephine Tufano, Former King James Care Center Employee, Dies at 81

Services are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday

Josephine Tufano, 81, of Middletown, passed away on Jan. 26, 2014 at her home with her family by her side.

Josephine was born in Brooklyn, New York on Feb. 14, 1932. After raising her family she moved to Middletown where she went to work for the King James Care Center where she was employed for 10 years.

She was predeceased by her parents Gennaro and Teresa, her sisters Grace and Mildred, and her brother John. Josephine was the beloved mother of Theresa (Joe), and Anne (Cosmo). She is the loving sister of Anthony, and Theresa. Josephine is also the devoted grandmother of Jennifer, Joseph Jr., Frank, Michael, Joseph James, and Mark. She is also the great-grandmother of Chelsea and Julian.

Josephine loved sewing, cooking, and baking. She especially loved being around all of her family. 

Josephine will be reposing at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1735 Route 35, Middletown, New Jersey 07748 on Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at. St Anthony of Padua. Interment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
