Anna Groome, 69, of Middletown, died on March 15, 2014, at Bayshore Health Care Center.
Anna was born in Newark on June 13, 1944, to Thomas and Anna Groome; and lived there until she moved to Middletown 15 years ago.
In her youth, Anna loved to swim and always longed to be able to get back into the water.
Anna was honored to be an organizer for holiday parties held for the residents of Daniel Towers where she resided.

Anna was predeceased by her loving parents, and her brothers, Thomas and James.
Surviving are Anna's brother, John Groome and his wife Rosemary of Hazlet; sisters, Helen Noll and Margaret Flanagan of Bloomfield; a nephew, Jason Groome and his wife Danielle of Barnegat; two nieces, Barbara Villani and her husband Frank of Linden; Nancy Casey and her husband Mike of Bloomfield; several great nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Anna was loved and will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at Day Funeral Home, Keyport, on Thursday, March 20, from 3 to 7PM; and a mass will be held at Holy Family RC Church, Union Beach, onFriday, March 21, at 9:30AM, followed by burial at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.
