Middletown Resident Marguerite E. Johnson Dies at 95

Marguerite E. Johnson, 95, of Middletown, NJ, died on March 6, 2014 at Medicenter Long Term Care in Neptune. She was born in Middletown and lived there her entire life. Marguerite worked as a secretary on Fort Monmouth for 35 years. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years and she was quite fond of ceramics.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, William and Linda Johnson; her daughter, Donna Johnson; her brother-in-law, Charles Johnson; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence Johnson in 1990; her parents, Edward and Alma Ellison; her sisters, Maude Spafford and Stevetta Spafford; and her brothers, George Ellison and Cornell Ellison.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 1 to 4 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 10 at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
