Obituary: Dennis “Frank” Quaglia, 70

Quaglia was a former Keansburg resident and IFF employee.

Dennis "Frank" Quaglia, 70, Lake Worth, FL, formerly of Keansburg, died on Friday, May 18, at Hospice By The Sea, Boca Raton, FL. For 29 years, Quaglia worked for IFF before retiring in 2000. Quaglia was an avid fan of the Yankees and the NY Giants, and enjoyed spending time with his family and at the beach.


Quaglia was predeceased by his parents, Alphonse and Marie Gaynor Quaglia and his brother, Anthony Quaglia. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Phyllis Rinkowski Quaglia; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and John Ahrens of Keansburg, Coleen and Scott Rongo of West Keansburg; his son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Janet Quaglia of Keansburg; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his brother, Michael Quaglia Sr. and wife Patricia; his sister, Irene LaViola and husband John; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at , North Middletown. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations in Dennis' name be made to Hospice By The Sea, 1531 W. Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton, FL 33486-3395, (561) 395-5031, www.hbts.org.

Oh, I am so glad to see that you are preserving history. My husband & I visited your town aRead More couple of weeks ago. My 9th Great Grandfather Thomas Whitlock is buried in the Old First Baptist Church yard. I was honored to stand on the porch of the home he helped build and lived in at Shoal Harbor. The name has changed to the Wilson-Seabrook House and now the Bayshore Activities Center. Wow! Too bad all the museum pieces were removed. I would love to have seen them.
