Obituary: Lilly Giovengo, 83, of Middletown

Lilly Giovengo, 83, of Middletown passed away peacefully on Jan. 9, 2014 with her family by her side at the Bayshore Health Care Center in Holmdel.

Lilly was born April 23, 1930 in Brooklyn. She met her husband Allen and they raised their children in New York. As time grew on she moved to Middletown with her husband to be closer with her family.

Lilly loved to cook, and spend time with husband Allen. It was being with her grandchildren that made her shine brightest.

She was predeceased by her parents Mildred and Anthony as well as her brother Anthony Biondo. Mildred was the beloved wife of Allen for 65 wonderful years. She was the devoted mother of Doreen and Jill. She was the loving sister of Phyllis Scaletta. Lilly was also the grandmother of Arielle, Jesse, Anthony, and Peter.

Lilly will be reposing at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1735 Route 35, Middletown, on Sunday, Jan. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Prayer service will be a t 8 p.m. in Funeral Home. Interment will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Cemetery in Wrightstown.
