Obituary: Lucy Biernacki, 98, Longtime Resident of Middletown

Lucy Biernacki died peacefully on January 24, 2013. She was a long time resident of Middletown, NJ. Lucy was loved by all she met and was treasured for her wit and sense of humor.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roman (Roy); sister, Fannie; brothers, Carmelo and Joseph; her parents, Gaeatano and Antoinette Sanfilippo; son-in-law, Weldon Bloyed; and grandson, Waylon Biernacki.

Surviving are her children, Richard Biernacki and his long time partner David Henritzy; Mary Bloyed, Linda and Dennis McGinnis, and Roman and Liz Biernacki. She leaves grandchildren Steve, Donna, Scarlett and Kevin; and 3 great-grandchildren Julia, Steven,and Brandon. She is also survived by two nieces, Mary and Josephine Sanfilippo.

She was also blessed with the friendship and love of the Nelson and Spinnato families, and the devoted help from caregiver, Joan. The family would like to thank Grace Healthcare Services for their exceptional care and devotion.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 2 to 6 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown.  A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 10 am at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
