Obituary: Michael Angelo Paone, a Belford Engine Volunteer

Paone was an avid bowler and golfer, and a husband and father.


Michael Angelo Paone, 52, of Middletown died on February 9, 2013 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.

He was born in West Nyack, NY.

Michael worked as a Union Carpenter for Avon Contracting, Local 455, Somerville, NJ.

He was an Ex-Captain and Life Member of Belford Engine Fire Company, assistant softball coach for the East Coast Elite Gold Softball Team, parishioner of St. Mary's Church and was an avid bowler and golfer. Michael was a Pittsburgh Steelers and NY Yankee fan.

Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Maureen Paone; son, Bryan Paone; daughters, Shawn and Courtney Paone and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Rico and Mildred Paone.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 9:15 am at St. Mary's Chapel, 26 Leonardville Rd., Middletown. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
