Obituary: Patricia J. Mahon, 79 of Belford

Patricia worked for the Monmouth County Park System as a clerk for many years.

Patricia J. Mahon, 79, of Belford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday morning, July 17, 2014, at her home.

She was born Patricia J. Carroll on Feb 14, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY, where she grew up and began to raise her family. In 1982, she and her family settled in Belford.

While living in NJ, Patricia worked for the Monmouth County Park System as a clerk for many years.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Agnes (Williams) Carroll; her son, Thomas Mahon; her brother, William Carroll; and her brother-in-law, Robert Becker.

Patricia is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 59 years, Thomas J. Mahon; her loving children, Patricia Viverito and her husband John of Belford, and Kevin Mahon of Belford; her daughter-in-law, Keri Lynn Roemer; her dear sisters and brothers, Kathryn Murphy and her husband Paul, Richard Carroll, Stephanie Becker, Regina Wenzler and her husband Thomas; her sister-in-law, Mary Carroll, along with her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer, Jaclyn, Tara, Danielle, Jessica and Alexis. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

In respect of Patricia's wishes, she will be privately cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 21 at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Rt. 35 N, Hazlet. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 22 at The Catholic Church of St. Ann, Keansburg.
