Obituary: Taylor Ruane Patrick Delepine, 19, of Middletown

Delepine died in a car accident on Route 35 in Hazlet on Christmas Eve morning.

Taylor Ruane Patrick Delepine, 19, of Middletown, died Monday morning following a car accident on Route 35. 

Delepine was traveling on Route 35 North at Poole Avenue when the 2003 Honda Accord he was driving struck the center median and then slid across the roadway where it struck a utility pole, breaking the pole into several sections at 7:58 a.m., according to Hazlet Police.  

He was transported to Bayshore Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:45 a.m.

"This accident is still under investigation, but based on preliminary investigation, excessive speed does not appear to be a contributing factor," said Chief James Broderick. 

Delepine was a graduate of Middletown South High School Class of 2011, where he played football, baseball and track. He worked at Staples in Hazlet and was a full time student at Brookdale Community College.

He was born in Rahway, and lived in Cranford before moving to Middletown 15 years ago.

Delepine was a communicant at St Mary's Parish New Monmouth. 

Surviving are his  parents, Frank and Heather Delepine; brothers, Connor and Morgan Collin Delepine; paternal grandparents, Frank and Maureen Delepine; maternal grandparents, Barry and Holly Yocum and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. 

Visitation will be held Friday, December 28, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Mary Mother of God Church, 19 Cherry Tree Farm Rd., Middletown.

A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Saturday at 10:30 am at Mary Mother of God Church.
