Obituary: William J. Champlin, 59, Formerly of Middletown

William worked as a teacher for Wall Township Board of Education for the last 13 years.

William J. Champlin, 59, of Manchester, NJ, died on July 23, 2013 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick Township. He was born in Red Bank and was raised in Middletown before moving to Manchester. William worked as a teacher for Wall Township Board of Education for the last 13 years. Prior to that he taught at Red Bank Catholic High School for 16 years. During the summers Bill was a driving instructor. He loved music and computers. He was a great guy that will be sorely missed. 

Surviving are his wife, MaryAnne; 2 sons, Joshua and Matthew Champlin both at home; sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Jim Blais; brother and sister-in law, Jack and Bernadette Champlin; and his nephew, Ian Champlin.

William was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gloria Champlin.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, July 26, 2012 from 4 to 8 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 9:30 am at the funeral home. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10: 30 am on Saturday at St. Mary's Chapel, 26 Leonardville Rd., New Monmouth. Cremation will be private.
