Port Monmouth's Rose Kopacz, 83, Has Died

Kopacz was a loyal member of the VFW Post 2179 and Port Monmouth Democratic Club.

Rose Kopacz, 83, of Port Monmouth, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in Hazlet, NJ. She was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Port Monmouth for 64 years. Rose lovingly devoted her life to her family. She and her late husband, Walter, were life members of the VFW Post 2179, and she also belonged to the Port Monmouth Democratic Club. Rose enjoyed many things in life, but she loved to bake most of all.

Surviving are her three daughters, Kathleen Dominguez, Deborah Kopacz, and Julia Kushwara; her grandchildren, Laura Wyman, Richard Wyman, Rebecca Dominguez, Brian Kushwara, Jason Kushwara, and Rosy Martins; her eight great-grandchildren, Maranda, Nicholas, Dakota, Liam, Ella, Mason, Daniel, and Jackson; and by her sister, Peggy Denoyells.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Kopacz in 2001.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 28 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 29 at 8:15 am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Saturday, September 29 at 9:15 am at St. Mary's Chapel, 26 Leonardville Rd., Middletown. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.
