Ralph H. Jacques, A Korean War Vet from Belford, Has Died

Jacques served his country in the Marines and was a member of local veterans organizations and youth sports leagues.

Ralph H. Jacques, 77, of Belford, NJ, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in Holmdel.

He was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Keyport before moving to Middletown 51 years ago.

Ralph served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War, was a member of American Legion Post 338 Leonardo, NJ; VFW Post 2179 Port Monmouth, NJ; and was active with Middletown Pop Warner, MYAA baseball and Middletown Jr. Bowling league in past years.

Surviving are his wife of  53 years, Janis  Jacques, son, Dennis Jacques; son & daughter-in-law, Randy and Sharon Jacques; daughter & son-in-law, Dawn and Christian Switzer; granddaughter, Alexandra Jacques; brother, John Jacques and sister, Johanna Murphy.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Anna Jacques; brothers, Edward and Charles Jacques; sister, Elizabeth Disbrow; sister, Mary Hourihan; sister, Lynn Jacques.
