St. Ann's Communicant, Middletown Woman Dies at 96

She was born and raised in Jersey City and lived there most of her life before moving to Keansburg and finally to Middletown 10 years ago.

Vita M. Lanzillo, 96, of Middletown, NJ, died on July 11, 2013 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. She was born and raised in Jersey City and lived there most of her life before moving to Keansburg and finally to Middletown 10 years ago. Vita was a homemaker and was a communicant of St Ann's Parish in Keansburg.

Surviving are her; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Thomas Fette of Middletown; son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Mary Lanzillo of Tinton Falls; sister, Carmella and her husband John Patel of Toms River; granddaughter, Laura Ann Fette of Middletown; as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Vita was preceded in death by; her husband of 52 years, Anthony Lanzillo in 1996; grandson, Thomas Fette, Jr. in 2011; 4 sisters, Mary Marchetti, Elizabeth Neumann, Angelina DiGiacoma, and Helen Bufano; and brother, Paul Savioa.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, July 15, 2013 at 9:15 am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:15 am at St. Ann's RC Church, Carr Ave., Keansburg. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
