Atlantic Highlands Sixth Annual Mayor's Ball

The Atlantic Highlands Community Events Committee proudly announces the Sixth Annual Mayor’s Ball and Casino Night.  This year we are celebrating in Caribbean Beach style with proceeds benefiting the Sandy Hook Little League. Join us for a night of gaming and entertainment with open bar and a buffet dinner. The event will be held on October 4th – 7:00 PM at the Shore Casino, 1 Simon Lake Drive, Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey.

Super Storm Sandy spread devastating loss to individuals and local organizations that provide services to the community. The Sandy Hook Little League has provided recreation for the community for over 40 years.  As a result of the storm much of their stored equipment was destroyed.  We are aware that many people are still not “whole” but it is important that children have a sense that things are “normal” and Little League is certainly one of those things. It is for that reason, that the AHCEC has selected our local Little League as the recipient of this year’s grant.

In 2007, Mayor Frederick Rast III launched The Community Events Committee as a non–political effort to raise funds for community organizations. To date, the Committee has donated nearly $100,000 to local groups. The Committee also runs the annual Holiday Tree & Wreath Sale, which helps support efforts to decorate the town seasonally. If funds are available, small grants are given during the year to groups such as the Food Pantry. No donations are made to political groups and no person receives any compensation.
