driving vs. biking
I want to begin by saying I have no problem sharing the roads with well educated bikers. However, being a resident of Locust, I am frequently driving on Kings Hwy east and Navesink River rd and some roads are not wide enough to "SHARE" with bikes. Many times I go out and take my life in my hands, coming very close to oncoming collisions with other autos because we are put out of our lanes to accommodate a bike rider. It is not fair to drivers because we do not have a choice, we have to be on a road, whereas a biker can go on a bike trail, when was the last time you saw a car on the Henry Hudson trail?
I think this is a real problem and it should be addressed by township officials BEFORE someone loses their life, not after.
