It's Time To Address Accidents On Hwy 36 In Leonardo

Highway 36 from Broadway to Hosford in the Leonardo section of Middletown has had more pedestrians struck in the last year than anywhere in Monmouth County.

I vote for more streetlights, for brighter crosswalks, and for a better pedestrian crossing system.

Just last week a minor was clipped by a pick up truck because he couldn't see him. That strip of highway is absolutely dangerous...

We need to do something about this highway before somebody else gets killed.

No need for more lights . You just need drivers and pedestrians to obey the lights that are there . I also see a lot of people get off the academy bus and try crossing the road without waiting for the light to change for them .

Delayed lights for pedestrians will be a good idea ! Not just lights ! The same way delayed lights to go right or left at every intersections ! Just watch when the lights turn green . how people rush to cut each other and cross the intersection , if there is a pedestrian in the intersection , they are dead ! Thinking will help .
