Meeting today on ocean blasting in LBI

Emergency Town Hall Meeting: Stop Seismic Ocean Blasting
Did you know several whales have been spotted off the NJ coast in recent weeks? But a harmful Rutgers University study to examine 60 million-year-old rocks for sea level change could cause devastating effects on our local marine life. The study includes seismic blasts of 250 decibels that will be emitted every 5 seconds, 24 hours a day, for 30 days beginning in July! Please join Clean Ocean Action for an emergency Town Hall discussion with scientists, commercial & recreational fishing leaders, divers, elected officials, marine mammal protectors and concerned citizens to learn more about why seismic ocean is being proposed and what we can do to stop it!

Date: Wednesday, July 2nd   Time: 5:00pm Location: Barnegat Light Fire Company, 10 West 10th Street, Barnegat Light, NJ

Please also sign (and share!) the petition to stop seismic ocean blasting here: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/230/078/429/stop-seismic-testing-off-nj-coast-this-june
Thank you so much for taking action!
