For five days during their Spring Break, the school age children had an excellent time doing Spring Break Camp at Ivy Hill Middletown. It wasn't your ordinary school day spent at the preschool but instead the children were involved with planning for their day and activities.
Every day for last 5 days, the children were treated to themed activities which involved arts & craft, cooking, educational board games and other fun stuff they were able to do independently. Little did they know that doing all that exciting and challenging activities, they were actually learning as well. They used their math skills in measuring, estimating and predicting outcomes. Their science skills were put into practice when they did their homemade play dough and paper mache craft. But most importantly, they were able to socialize and get along with different age groups.
"I enjoyed the paper mache activity! It was cool!" ~ Michael, 8 years old.
"I liked doing the homemade play dough! That was fun!" ~ Jacob, 5 years old.
