Accident Disrupts Traffic Flow on Route 36 Friday Afternoon
Police are seeking witnesses to the two-car collision that sent two men to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.
Route 36 North near Thompson Avenue in the Leonardo section of Middletown was closed for one hour this afternoon, as Middletown Police investigated a two-car crash that occurred around 1:52 p.m. Friday.
Southbound traffic was restricted to one lane for approximately one hour.
Police said Edward Locke, 68, of Middletown and Kirk Davis, 39, of Rumson were involved in the accident. Both drivers suffered "moderate" injuries in the crash and were transported for treatment to Riverview Medical Center by Middletown Twp. Emergency Services.

Police were assisted at the scene by the township Fire Department, Fire Police and State Dept. of Transportation Traffic Diversion Team.
