Alleged Jewel Thief Nabbed in M'town

After trying to sell stolen jewelry at a local store, a Red Bank man is now facing burglary and theft charges in connection with a July Middletown burglary.

On Aug. 10 Detective Kelly Godley arrested and charged Brian Miller, 21, of Walnut Avenue, Red Bank, with burglary and theft as a result of an investigation into a burglary that occurred at a residence on Garryford Drive on July 31 during which jewelry had been stolen.

Detective Godley conducted an investigation and discovered that Miller had sold some of the stolen jewelry at a local jewelry store. Detective Godley was able to recover some of the stolen items and return them to the victim.

Miller was processed and released pending a court date.
