Alleged Middletown Bank Robber Indicted

Steven Carton, 26, is accused of demanding money from bank teller.

A grand jury indicted a Middletown man accused of demanding cash at the Middletown TD Bank branch on Harmony Road.

On Sunday, June 10, 26-year-old Steven Carton of Belicose Court allegedly robbed the bank of $400. He was subsequently taken into custody by Middletown Township police, according to Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor Richard Incremona of the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. The money was recovered, Incremona said.

On Tuesday, a grand jury handed up a charge against Carton of one count second-degree robbery in connection with the June 10 incident.
