Alleged Middletown Jewel Thief Faces Charges in Toms River

A young Beachwood man who stands accused of stealing $.5 million worth of jewelry from a string of homes in the Navesink section of Middletown is allegedly at it again in Ocean County, according to Toms River police.

Nicholas Tracy, 21, of Clubhouse Drive, Beachwood, was reportedly caught in the act of an alleged burglary when a Witty Road, Toms River, resident

According to the Toms River Patch, Tracy took off on a bike, a police chase ensued and he was caught, charged with burglary and is now in Ocean County Jail on $15,000 bail.

In the Middletown burglaries, Tracy was nabbed by police in a third-floor Navesink River Road bathroom.

Though there is speculation about whose homes were burglarized, including one famous name, asserted that they do not release victims' names as a matter of standard procedure for their protection.
