Arresting Update from Middletown PD

On Oct. 4 at 11:35 a.m., Patrolman Robert McNair responded to the in reference to a report of prescription fraud.

Upon arrival, the pharmacist advised the officer that they had received two fraudulent prescriptions for Oxycodone.

Officer McNair then conducted an investigation that resulted in the arrest of Crystal Music, 27, of Beechwood Avenue, Keansburg, for obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud. She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and released pending a court date.

On Oct. 4 at 2:35 a.m., Patrolman James Beirne was on patrol in the area of Oak Hill Road when he observed a vehicle swerving in and out of its lane of travel.

Officer Beirne stopped the vehicle and approached the vehicle. He detected a strong odor of what he identified as burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

Officer Beirne conducted an investigation that resulted in a rear seat passenger, identified as Arthur Mathurin, 20, of Abby Road, Middletown, being arrested and charged with unlawful possession of Oxycodone.

He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released after posting $5,000 bail.
