Atlantic Highlands Man Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Possession Charges

In U.S. District Court today, Danial Hillman, 27 admitted he downloaded violent video images of child pornography.

An Atlantic Highlands man admitted in federal court in Trenton today to possessing child pornography on his computer, including violent video images, of three children under the age of 12 being sexually abused.

Danial Hillman, 27, of Atlantic Highlands pleaded guilty to one count of an indictment charging him with possession of child pornography.

Undercover police officers used peer-to-peer sharing software to download videos and images of child porn from Hilman's shared directories.

On April 12, 2011, officers from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office and the Atlantic Highlands Police Department executed a search warrant on Hillman's home, seizing several computers, including one that contained images of sadistic content involving minors.

At sentencing on Dec. 18, Hillman faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Hillman was represented by Charles F. Clark, Esq. of Freehold.

Representing the government was Assistant U.S. Attorney John E. Clabby of the U.S. Attorney's Office, Criminal Division, in Trenton.

Several law enforcement agencies worked together on the investigation, such as the Dept. of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement, New Jersey's Homeland Security Investigations, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office and the Atlantic Highlands Police Department.
