Bayshore Residents Stole Kitchen Appliances from Sears, Police Charge

More than $2,000 of goods total allegedly stolen by three area men

A trio of Bayshore residents face shoplifting charges after authorities said they attempted to take more than $2,000 worth of goods in total from the Middletown Sears.

Corey A. Alexander, 28, of Keansburg, and Jason Ware, 30, of Keyport, are both accused of shoplifting eight kitchen appliances valued at $1,497 from the Route 35 store last week, according to a criminal complaint signed by Middletown police.

Both men also face conspiracy to commit shoplifting charges, according to authorities.

Also charged was Kevin D. Hickey, 29, of Middletown, who was accused of shoplifting a coffee maker and food processor valued at $556 from the Sears store, according to the complaint.

All three men were lodged in the Monmouth County Correctional Facility on $15,000 bail each, no 10 percent option, according to the complaints.
