Deer Alert: M'town Man Thrown from Motorcycle

Man collided with deer on highway, got thrown from bike

A Middletown motorcyclist traveling on Route 35 north struck a deer near the Holmdel Towne Center and was thrown from his bike, according to a Holmdel police report. 

On Monday, at about 1 p.m.  Steven Grobelny, 20, of Middletown, was traveling on the northbound lanes of the highway, on his 2005 Yamaha motorcycle, when he collided with a deer.

Grobelny lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown off the bike and over the concrete divider.

He landed in the southbound fast lane.

The Holmdel First Aid transported him to Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, for treatment of what authorities said appeared to be minor injuries.
