Downed Power Lines Close Section of Cooper Road
JCP&L also working on power issues in Borden Road area.
A section of Cooper Road was closed late Wednesday morning because of downed power lines.
The road was closed between Browns Dock Road to McClees Road for power line restoration, according to an email alert from the township. Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) is working on several other streets including those in the Borden Road area to address power issues.
Road crews are assigned throughout town to uncover storm drains in order to minimize ponding conditions and to remove downed trees and large limbs from roadways, the alert said. Public Works is coordinating efforts with JCP&L in locations where the downed trees involve power lines.
