UPDATE: Explosives Training Scheduled at NWS Earle

Don't be alarmed if you hear unusual noise on Tuesday, April 16.

Due to inclement weather on April 12, the demolition planned for April 12 has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, according to a Naval Weapons Station Earle spokesman Michael K. Brady.

The NWS Earle explosives range is in the Colts Neck part of Earle - the nearest section of Middletown is at least 3 miles away.

It is possible Middletown residents may hear the faint sound of explosives, depending on the weather conditions, said spokesman Michael K. Brady.

Training is expected to run from April 8 to April 12.
