Keyport Man Found With Heroin Near Allocco Park, Police Say

Sean Lafata was arrested and charged Wednesday.

Middletown Township police say a Keyport man was found with oxycodone and 25 packets of heroin near Allocco Park on Wednesday.

Sean Lafata, 30, of Green Grove Avenue, was arrested and charged with heroin possession, possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park, possession of oxycodone without a prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

Patrolman Richard Fulham was the arresting officer.

Bail was set at $ 30,000 on the drug charges. Lafata also had outstanding contempt of court Warrants in Middletown and Keyport totaling $ 1,100. He was processed and remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail.

Why is the middletown pd in hazlet?

Hi Rachel - the charges say he was found within 500 feet of the park and since the park is along the Middletown/Hazlet border, the arrest was made near the park but within Middletown.

The park is in Holmdel, not Hazlet
