Middletown Men Charged in $140K Marine Engine Parts Theft

Rolls Royce marine engine parts were stolen last week, according to authorities

Two Middletown men are being held on $50,000 bail each after police said they stole $140,000 worth of marine engine parts from a storage facility in Atlantic Highlands last week.

Robert T. Izzo, 30, and John J. Matteucci III, 25, face charges for burglary and related offenses after allegedly taking the Rolls Royce parts from a movable storage container in the Seastreak storage lot on Bay Avenue, according to a complaint signed on Oct. 29.

Authorities arrested the men on Oct. 29 for thefts on Oct. 23 and Oct. 25, according to the complaint.

Both Izzo and Matteucci remain in custody at the Monmouth County Jail on $50,000 bail, according to county department of corrections records.
