Man Indicted After Allegedly Selling Marijuana to Undercover Detective

A Middletown man was indicted on multiple charges surrounding marijuana possession and distribution to an undercover detective from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

A 20-year-old resident was indicted on charges relating to the alleged distribution of marijuana to an undercover detective twice in a two month span.

Brian Clancy, 20, of Baldwin Avenue was indicted on a total of four charges including two charges of possessing a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, and two charges of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

According to the indictment, Clancy allegedly sold marijuana to an undercover detective from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office on Sept. 13, 2011 and Nov. 16, 2011.

Clancy was indicted on all four charges Tuesday, June 5. Each charge is considered a fourth-degree crime.
