Mackenzie Killeen, 21, of Michigan Avenue is also charged with resisting arrest and violating a restraining order.

A Hazlet man has been indicted on charges of burglary, criminal mischief and resisting arrest in relation to a June burglary in Middletown.

Mackenzie Killeen, 21, of Michigan Avenue was interrupted by police when allegedly attempting to burglarize a Alimar Drive home in Middletown, which prompted him to allegedly run from the scene. Alimar Drive is in a neighborhood near Thorne Middle School.

Cpl. Robert McNair and Patrolman Thomas Hughes chased Killeen and took him into custody.

In the process of the alleged burglary, Killeen broke glass and caused damage in excess of $500. Killeen was also found in contempt of court for allegedly violating a restraining order. It is unknown if the occupants of the Middletown home know Killeen.
