Man Indicted on Generator Theft, Drug Possession
The alleged theft took place at Lowes in Holmdel.
A Middletown man has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of theft and illegal drug possesion.
Elbert Franke, 34, who lives in an apartment on Truez Place, will stand trial on charges he attempted to steal a $500 generator from Lowe's of Holmdel on Dec. 13, 2012.
He will also face formal charges of illegal possession of heroin and cocaine.

The May 9 indictment is a formal charge, not a conviction. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
