Middletown Man Found Shot Dead

The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office and Middletown police are investigating the murder.

A Middletown man was found shot to death inside his Roop Avenue home on Wednesday, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni announced Friday.

Middletown Township police discovered Anthony Capella's body at 8:25 p.m. after receiving a call to respond to the home in Leonardo. Capella suffered a gunshot wound, the release said. Police contacted the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office and a joint  investigation is under way. Authorities are currently seeking information from the public about the murder.
