Middletown Man Threatened Officers With Baseball Bat, Police Say

A Middletown man is accused of eluding police during a traffic stop and then threatening officers with a baseball bat.

Michael T. Muller, 30, of Princeton Street was signaled by officers to pull his car over on Saturday night. According to police, Muller fled the scene. When he was eventually stopped, he wielded a baseball bat and issued verbal threats against Patrolman Michael Reuter and Patrolman Christopher Dee, according to court documents.

Muller was charged with aggravated assault, weapons possession, resisting arrest and eluding an officer. His bail was set at $25,000 with no option to post 10 percent of the bond.
