Middletown, NJ Police Blotter: Feb. 22-27. Police Search House on Hudson Ave.

In this week's police log, arrests for possession of marijuana, DWI and assault.

The following information was distributed by the Middletown, NJ Police Dept. on March 1, 2013. An arrest does not indicate a conviction, and all are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Unless noted, all were released pending a court date.   

Feb. 22: Damon Dowd, 36, of Willow Ave. in Hoboken was arrested by Ptl. Raymond Sofield for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstructing the administration of law. He was held on $5,000 bail with no 10% option set by Judge Richard Thompson.

Harold Cowdrick, 29, of Blue Jay Court in Howell was arrested by Ptl. Thomas Hughes for Possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Feb. 23: Steven Maritato, 51, of Southview Terrace in Middletown was arrested by Ptl. Adam Colfer for DWI.

Buddy Carson, 37, of Broadway Way in Keyport was arrested by Ptl. Daniel Benbrook for theft.

Sarah Keelen, 24, of Main St. in Keansburg was arrested by Ptl. Donald Coates for DWI.

Feb. 24: Theresa Costine, 27, of Kimberly Ct. in Red Bank was arrested by Ptl. Savino Capilupi for simple assault. She was held on $1,500 bail.

Kelly Jones, 45, of Campbell Avenue in Port Monmouth was arrested by Ptl. Stephen Greenwood for DWI. She was held pending a court date.

Karen Born, 54, of Beaver Place in Aberdeen was arrested by Ptl. Adam Colfer for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. 

William Woodruff, 65, of Spring St. in Red Bank was arrested by Cpl. Daniel Murdoch for shoplifting and criminal mischief. He was held on $2,000 bail with a 10% option set by Judge Richard Thompson.

Feb. 26: Robert Backovsky, 22, of Pinehurst Ave. in Port Monmouth was arrested by Ptl. Keith Hirschbein for simple assault.

Christopher Gill, 20, of Cherry Tree Lane in Middletown was arrested by Det. Adam Finck for theft. He was held on $10,000 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson.

Brian Muench, 45, Isabella Ct. in Atlantic Highlands was arrested by Ptl. James Beirne for DWI.

Feb 27: Three residents of a house on Hudson Avenue were arrested following  search warrant execution by the Middletown Police Detective Bureau and Quality of Life Unit.

Charged with possession of heroin, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. were Salvatore Sarna, 20; Scott Leimsider, 28; and Alexandra Sarna, 23. Alexandra Sarna was also charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe.  The warrant execution was a result of a monthlong investigation conducted by Detectives Kevin Gardiner and Laurence Schachtel and Officers Richard Fulham and Anthony Bumbico regarding the distribution of narcotics from the residence.

Stephen Tucker, 21, of Lane C in Hazlet was arrested by Ptl. Ian May for obstructing the administration of law.

Christopher Manigrasso, 23, of Navesink Avenue in Highlands was arrested by Cpl. Bernie Chenoweth for DWI.

Preston Lopriore, 18, of E. Roosevelt Circle in Red Bank was arrested by Ptl. Adam Colfer for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jessie Carrdine, 18, of Phalanx Rd. in Lincroft was arrested by Ptl. Adam Colfer for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Oh, I am so glad to see that you are preserving history. My husband & I visited your town aRead More couple of weeks ago. My 9th Great Grandfather Thomas Whitlock is buried in the Old First Baptist Church yard. I was honored to stand on the porch of the home he helped build and lived in at Shoal Harbor. The name has changed to the Wilson-Seabrook House and now the Bayshore Activities Center. Wow! Too bad all the museum pieces were removed. I would love to have seen them.
