Middletown Police Blotter: Oct. 9 - Oct. 16

Arrests for heroin and pot possession turn up in the mid-October police report.

The following information was released by the Middletown Police Dept on Oct. 17, 2012. An arrest is not a conviction. Unless otherwise indicated, those arrested were released, pending a court date.

Carlos Ortiz, 22, from Montana Avenue in Port Monmouth was arrested on October 9 by Ptl. Raymond Sofield and Ptl. Greg Buhowski of the Quality of Life Unit for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. 

Edward Morrissey, 38, from Main Street in Middletown was arrested on October 9 by Cpl. Thomas Meckier for disorderly conduct. 

Melissa Grimes, 39, from Lock Street in Newark was arrested on October 9 by Cpl. Douglas Wiatrak on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was held on $1,000 bail.

Anthony Mairs, 27, from Skyline Drive in Hazlet was arrested on October 9 by Ptl. John Mele on a fugitive warrant issued by the Monmouth County Superior Court. He was held on $10,000 bail.

Zachary Winnerling, 28, from Huddy Avenue in Highlands was arrested on October 10 by  Ptl. Charles Higgins on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Sea Bright Municipal Court. He was released after posting $215 bail.

Anthony McDonnell, 22, from Bray Avenue in Middletown was arrested on October 10 by Det. Daniel Sullivan on a warrant issued by the Monmouth County Superior Court. He was held on $15,000 bail.

Anthony Colacino, 19, from Crystal Ct. in Middletown was arrested on October 10 by  Ptl. Greg Buhowski and  Ptl. Raymond Sofield of the Quality of Life Unit for Possession of under 50 grams of marijuana; possession with intent to distribute marijuana; and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park. He was held on $10,000 bail with a 10% option by Judge James Berube.

Joseph Salkoskas, 43, from Port Monmouth was arrested on October 15 by Ptl. Jason Caruso on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Piscataway Municipal Court. He was released after posting $190 bail. 

Sara Alvarez, 23, from Thorn Terrace in West Orange was arrested on October 11 by  Ptl. Adam Vendetti on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was released after posting $500 bail.

Paul French, 22, from Main Street in Port Monmouth was arrested on October 12 by Ptl. Adam Colfer for obstructing the administration of law. 

Steven Hewitt, 22, from Kanes Lane in Middletown was arrested on October 12 by Sgt. Sean Sweeney on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was held on $500 bail.

Michael Coffey, 28, from Coffey Lane in Middletown was arrested on October 13 by  Ptl. Christopher Dee on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Court. 

Albert Dimaggio 52, from Prospect Avenue in Middletown was arrested on October 13 by Ptl. James Beirne for driving while intoxicated. 

Todd Dyson, 40, from Wilson Avenue in Keansburg was arrested on October 14 by Ptl. John Soltysik on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Elizabeth Municipal Court. He was released after posting $100 bail.

John Bleibdrey, 29, from Hosford Avenue in Leonardo was arrested on October 13 by  Ptl. Albert Scott for hindering apprehension and false reports to law enforcement. 

Earl Farwell, 41, from Bay Avenue in Atlantic Highlands was arrested on October 16 by Ptl. Charles Higgins for driving while intoxicated. 

James Koenig, 55, from Brainard Avenue in Port Monmouth was arrested on October 15 by Ptl. Charles Higgins on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was held on $500 bail.

Andrew Kimmet, 24, from Rector Place in Red Bank was arrested on October 15 by Cpl. Patricia Colangelo on contempt of court warrants issued by the Middletown and Oakhurst Municipal Court. He was held on $1,683 bail.

Joseph Salkoskas, 43, from Port Monmouth was arrested on October 15 by Ptl. Jason Caruso on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released on $250 bail.

Corinne Mills, 34, from Ocean Avenue in Sea Bright was arrested on October 15 by  Ptl. Greg Buhowski and  Ptl. Raymond Sofield of the Quality of Life Unit for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Ellen Olvesen, 55, from Marina Drive in Highlands was arrested on October 15 by Ptl. Jason Caruso on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. She was released after posting $500 bail.

Mamie Duncan, 22, from Penrose Avenue in Elkins Park, NJ arrested on October 16 by Ptl. Brian Dilworth for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Atlantic City Municipal Court. She was released after posting $500 bail. 

Kenneth Scaggs, 22, from Birchwood Avenue in Keansburg was arrested on October 15 by  Ptl. Greg Buhowski and Ptl. Raymond Sofield of the Quality of Life Unit for possession of heroin, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Middletown Municipal Court. He was released after posting $750 bail. 

Craig Ruge, 31, from Kearney Street in Keyport was arrested on October 16 by Ptl. Richard Fulham for possession of heroin and possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. He was held on $5,000 bail with a 10% option set by Judge Richard Thompson.

Oh, I am so glad to see that you are preserving history. My husband & I visited your town aRead More couple of weeks ago. My 9th Great Grandfather Thomas Whitlock is buried in the Old First Baptist Church yard. I was honored to stand on the porch of the home he helped build and lived in at Shoal Harbor. The name has changed to the Wilson-Seabrook House and now the Bayshore Activities Center. Wow! Too bad all the museum pieces were removed. I would love to have seen them.
