Middletown Police Report Officer Assaults

The Middletown Township Police Department reported two arrests on aggravated assault on a police officer in its Jan. 24-Feb. 5 police blotter.

Angelo Georgianna, 25, of Port Monmouth Road in Port Monmouth, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014 by Patrolman Adam Colfer on disorderly conduct, obstructing the administration of law, resisting arrest and aggravated assault on a police officer charges.  He was processed and released on a summons.

Angel Harris, 21, of Comstock Street in Asbury Park, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 25 by Patrolman John Mele on simple assault, disorderly conduct, aggravated assault on a police officer and resisting arrest charges.  She was processed and committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail, which was set at $ 20,000 with no option to post 10 percent of the bond.
