A Middletown woman was indicted last week on a charge that she illegally possessed a prescription medication.

Angelica Rosaperez, 22, is charged with having alprazolam—in the form of Xanax, a drug commonly used to treat anxiety—on Sept. 18 within Middletown, according to an indictment handed up by a Monmouth County grand jury.

The indictment comes just weeks after another incident in which Rosaperez was charged by Middletown police with possessing two wax paper folds containing heroin, according to a criminal complaint.

Police at that time also charged Rosaperez with having a tablet of Suboxone, according to the document signed by Patrolman Thomas Hughes.

Rosaperez was lodged in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $20,000 bail but has since bonded out, according to inmate records.

I was just wondering if anyone has any feed back on the meeting that was held at High School North this past Tuesday(1/14/14) on the topic of heroin and teenagers. I couldn't make the meeting and would love to know what transpired. I wish it was recorded so I could review the meeting. Heroin has become such a epidemic in our own backyard.
