Middletown's Fire Officials Take Oaths

Swearing in took place during the township's annual reorganization meeting Sunday

Middletown's fire department officers were among those sworn in to their positions during the township's annual reorganization meeting on Jan. 5. 

Newly-elected mayor Stephanie Murray administered the oaths to the officers, who come from departments throughout Middletown. They are:

  • Chief Peter Laimann, Port Monmouth Fire Company
  • Deputy Chief Rick W. Hibell, Independent Fire Company of Belford
  • First Assistant Chief John Gorsegner, Middletown Fire Company No. 1
  • Second Assistant Chief Anthony Citarella, River Plaza Hose Company
  • Third Assistant Chief Ryan Clarke, Lincroft Fire Company

Their terms run from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, according to the appointment resolution.
