Monmouth Men Indicted on Heroin Charges in Middletown

Men also are charged with eluding police and resisting arrest

A pair of Monmouth County men accused of possessing heroin in Middletown and resisting arrest were indicted on those charges this week.

A county grand jury handed up the indictments of Michael R. Cutler, 25, of Long Branch and Raymond M. Parker, 24, of Keansburg, stemming from an Aug. 18 incident in Middletown.

The pair are charged with possessing heroin and eluding authorities by “knowingly fleeing or attempting to elude” Officer Nicholas Fenezia after being signalled to bring the vehicle they were traveling in to a full stop, according to the indictment signed by Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni.

Charges of resisting arrest by flight and obstructing the administration of law or other governmental function also were handed up in the indictment, according to the document.
