No One Hurt in M'town House Fire

Several fire companies of the 11 in the all-volunteer Middletown department battled the fire.

No one was hurt in an afternoon house fire at 231 Bamm Hollow Road in that brought several of the township fire department's companies out to battle the blaze for two hours.

The two-and-a-half-story dwelling was fully engulfed and smoke was dense as approximately 40 of the township's 400 firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after the 1:37 p.m. dispatch call, Middletown Fire Department Spokesman John Isaksen said.

There were no injuries and no one was in the home at the time of the incident, he added, saying that the home itself, however, sustained major fire and smoke damage.
