NWS Earle Security Drill Could Slow Route 36 Traffic Friday

Regularly scheduled drill may cause congestion

Written by Kaitlyn Anness

A security drill at Navel Weapons Station Earle on Friday could slow traffic in the Leonardo area, according to base officials.

The exercise tests how the base responds to threats, but is not in response to a specific threat. These drills are regularly scheduled, and drivers may witness increased security in the area.

People traveling near the base on Route 36 in Leonardo or Route 34 in Colts Neck could experience slower traffic at times.
