Pair Indicted After Alleged $11K Coco Pari Shopping Spree Attempt on Stolen Credit Card

Urika Tucker and Shanierah Aaron face credit card fraud and theft charges.

Two New York women have been indicted on credit card fraud and theft charges stemming from an August incident in Red Bank.

Urika Tucker, 25, and Shanierah Aaron, 22, both of Brooklyn, NY, allegedly conspired to drive to Red Bank and use a fraudulently issued, obtained, counterfiet or stolen HSBC credit card in Aaron's name to attempt to purchase merchandise from the Coco Pari retail store in Red Bank on Aug. 29, 2012, the indictment from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.

The two allegedly committed "overt acts" by conspiring to make the drive, with Tucker operating the vehicle. Once there, Tucker allegedly waited in the car while Aaron attempted to make purchases at the store with the fraudulent card, according to the indictment.

Both Tucker and Aaron face attempted fraudulent use of a credit card, conspiracy and credit card theft charges, one count each.

The fraud and conspiracy are third-degree offenses. The theft is a fourth-degree offense.

An indictment is not a conviction. The charges must be first heard in a court of law.

11 grand is around the minimum amount for store to prosecute . Anything under that, and they are turned loose. But try to get out of an overnight parking ticket outside your own house and you are tracked down like Al Capone.
