On the Beat with Middletown Police: Arresting Update, June 10-13

The following arrest information was supplied by the Middletown Township Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Middletown police made several arrests on various charges in two days' time. Here are the reports, provided by Detective Lt. Steve Dollinger ...

On June 13 at 2:15 p.m., Patrolman Robert Shannon responded to Middletown High School North in reference to a student found in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Upon arrival, Officer Shannon was advised by an assistant principal that a 17-year-old male student had allegedly been found in possession of a marijuana pipe and Vicoden.

Officer Shannon arrested the juvenile and charged him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of paraphernalia.

He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released to his father.

On June 12 at 1:25 p.m., Cpl. Daniel Murdoch responded to the area of Lillian Place in reference to a suspicious vehicle.

Upon arrival, Murdoch approached the vehicle to speak with the occupants at which point he detected a strong odor of what he identified as marijuana coming from the car.

Cpl.Murdoch conducted an investigation that resulted in the arrest of a 16-year-old male juvenile from Andover Street being arrested for possession of a prescription legend drug.

He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released to his guardian.

On June 11 at 5:45 p.m., Patrolman Ryan Riffert responded to the Bottle King Liquor Store in reference to a report of a subject who tried to purchase alcohol with a fake driver’s license.

The officer conducted an investigation that resulted in Scott Jagarnauth, 19, of Swimming River Road, in the Lincroft section of Middletown, being arrested and charged with misrepresenting his age to purchase alcohol.

Police say Jagarnauth used a fake Rhode Island driver’s license to attempt to buy the alcohol.

He was processed and released pending a court date.

On June 11 at 9:30 p.m., Patrolman McNair was on patrol in the area of Myrtle Avenue when he observed a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of the road.

Officer McNair approached the vehicle to speak with the occupants when he detected what he identified as the odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the car.

Patrolman McNair conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrests of Elizabteh Tepper, 20, of Georgia Avenue, in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown; Steven Mago, 20, of Church Street, in the Belford section of Middletown; and Alana Fiorella, 19, of Wood Avenue in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown. All three were charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, a disorderly persons offense, and were processed and released pending a court date.

On June 10, Detective Kimberly Best arrested and charged William Deppisch, 23, of Campbell Avenue, in the Belford section of Middletown, with possession of stolen property as a result of an investigation into a burglary and theft of a dirt bike from a residence on Church Street in Belford that occurred on May 22, 2011.

Deppisch was processed and released pending a court date.
