Middletown police make four arrests in three days, charging weapons, drug and DWI offenses ...

On March 27 at 10:56 a.m., police responded to the area of Wilson Avenue in reference to a report of a man standing in the street swinging a weapon at passing cars.

Upon arrival police officer Larisa Doriety reported that she found Sean Lynch, 25, of Danemar Drive, Middletown, standing in the street holding a leather belt with a combination lock fastened to the end and a knife. The officer drew her firearm and ordered Lynch to drop the weapons.  Sgt. Anthony Bagileo arrived as back-up and the officers were able to place Lynch under arrest without further incident.

Lynch was then transported to police headquarters where he was charged with disorderly conduct, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was processed and released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.

On March 26 at 3:26 a.m., police received a call from the New Jersey State Police reporting a vehicle that was being driven erratically and had struck a barrier on the Garden State Parkway and then exited at exit 109.

Sgt. William Colangelo located the vehicle on Newman Springs Road and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Patrolman Savino Capilupi responded as back up. The officers conducted an investigation which resulted in the driver, identified as Thomas Delia, 52, of Dawn Court, Tinton Falls, being arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. He was processed and released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On March 26 at 4:45 a.m., police officer Janine Kennedy responded to the area of Mulberry Lane in reference to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on the street.

Upon arrival, Kennedy located the vehicle and conducted an investigation that resulted in the arrest of Ryan Kelty, 21, of Bray Avenue, Middletown, who was charged with possession of a prescription legend drug. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released on a summons pending a court appearance.

On March 25 at 11 a.m., police responded to the area of Cooper Road in reference to a report of a subject parked in a vehicle possibly using drugs. Upon arrival officers located Tiffanile Czaplicki, 28, of Kruger Place, Middletown, sitting in the vehicle.

Officers Ian May and Anthony Ciccone conducted an investigation and reported that they found two hypodermic syringes inside the car. Czaplicki was arrested and charged with possession of hypodermic syringes. She was released on a summons pending a court appearance.

The information concerning the above arrests was obtained directly from the Middletown Township Police Department's records. While all suspects have been arrested and charged with the named offenses, convictions depend on the outcome of court appearances. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty in that court of law.
