On the Beat With Middletown Police: Arresting Assault, Obstruction Charges

Middletown arrested the following people on simple assault, court order violations and obstruction charges ...

• Abigail Recierdo, 30, from North Gaston Avenue in Summerville, was arrested on June 20 by Patrolman James Beirne and charged with simple assault. She was released on her own recognizance.

• Michael Candeloro, 37, of Forest Avenue, Keansburg, was arrested on June 19 by Patrolman Charles Higgins and charged with violation of a court order.

He was held on $2,500 bail with no 10 percent option.

• Scott Newell, 43, of Nautilus Drive, in the Leonardo section of Middletown, was arrested on June 19, 2011 by Patrolman Carl Roth and charged with simple assault.

He was released pending a court date.

• Gary Stone, 40, of Church Street, in the Belford section of Middletown was arrested on June 19 by Patrolman Antonio Ciccone and charged with simple assault.

He was released after posting $750 bail.

• Brian Yocus, 23, of Horatio Street, Newark, was arrested on June 18 by Patrolman Michael Reuter and charged with criminal mischief and obstructing the administration of law.

He was released pending a court date.

• David Swientnicki, 25, of Hawkins Street, Newark, was arrested on June 18 by Patrolman Michael Reuter and charged with obstructing the administration of law.

He was released pending a court date.

• On June 18 Patrolman Michael Reuter arrested and charged a 16-year-old juvenile from Newark with obstructing the administration of law.

He was released pending a court date.

• Michael Candeloro, 37, of Forest Avenue, Keansburg, was arrested on June 18 by Corporal Douglas Wiatrak and charged with simple assault.

He was held on $2,500 bail with no 10 percent option.
